Travel management specialists ATPI Energy Travel (ATPI) and global media organisation OGV Energy (OGV) have announced new support to Australia’s energy and mining industries via a new dimension to an ongoing partnership.

To strengthen growth goals in Australia, OGV has appointed Emma Davidson as Sales Manager to cover Australia and the wider APAC region. Previously working from OGV’s Aberdeen office as Events and Sales Coordinator, Emma’s new position is to increase OGV’s presence, community base and capability on the ground in the Oceania region. To help make this a reality, Emma will be working from ATPI’s long-established Perth office, alongside its expert team.

This new agreement will see the frequent collaborators utilise resources from both sides to support existing and prospective clients of each company from across the energy landscape in Australia.

Since entering an exclusive partnership in January 2024, ATPI and OGV have established a successful framework to provide travel and event support across the last 12 months. By working alongside ATPI’s Perth team, Emma will strive to replicate that success in Australia.

With clients of both ATPI and OGV having established operations throughout Australia, this move will help explore new opportunities to provide support to existing networks while expanding connections on both sides of the agreement. In particular, OGV is seeking to provide services and support to Australia’s mining industry – a sector in which ATPI has a successful track record via its mining branch.

Combined expertise will cover event and travel support, maximising the profiling of clients throughout the region and the impact they can make at events or in the news.

Following her move, Emma commented: “What was quite a significant move to take OGV to Australia has been made far easier thanks to this support provided by ATPI. Knowing that I will be working from the Perth office alongside its brilliant team will be massively beneficial. On a personal level, this will help me get settled in my new role and surroundings while for OGV, ATPI’s support will unlock exciting new in-country opportunities for us. Over the last 12 months, the value of partnering with ATPI has been clear to see. This is the natural next step for both sides of the partnership and will help us each achieve goals for growth in Australia.”

Welcoming Emma to ATPI’s Australia branch, ATPI Regional Managing Director – Pacific & Africa Petter Muller commented: “It’s great to have Emma join us in our Perth office – we know she will make a welcome addition and become an extension of our team. The move marks an important step forward for both ATPI and OGV and will only stand to benefit the clients we support across the region. By having access to our office space and working with our network during this early phase of the move, OGV will have the best chance of repeating its established UK success here in Australia. We look forward to working with Emma and discovering how our event and travel support can aid her not only on a personal level but also OGV as a whole.”
